MY second one

here is my story brought this watch two years ago love it matter of fact the watch is still going strong. The only downside to it it statches easy but nevertheless for the price its worth every penny . I just place an order for my second one becasuse the band broke and it turns out a good band is going to cost around $25 just put the extra few bucks and get a new one

Rating :

Nice watch, short wristband - not for men, maybe for teenagers.

Measure your wrist, if it's 8 inches around, the band will be too short. My wrist is 7" and I think it's a bit tight even so.

I like the watch, I wear it every day. The only complaint I have is the band, which is too narrow and too short to qualify it as a "Men's watch".

Rating :

Easy to be scratched

The watch looks a little thick and is really easy to get scratched. Not so good as expected.

Rating :

It lasted about two weeks.

The reason is a broken band anchor, as also mentioned in a previous review. It happened while I was taking the watch off. The plastic on the watch that holds the anchor pin broke away. I don't think that the pressure I exerted that caused this was that extreme. I believe that the quality of the plastic wasn't good enough for normal use. I do not recommend it.

drew's views

Excelent watch, looks cool, fairly sturdy, love the features. Reason for 4 star is the confusing asignments for the buttons (especially stop watch and timer controls). Also it gains about 5 seconds every 7-10 days(I've had cerial box watches that lost or gained 1 sec. every week). These of course are very minor and is my opinion, but I definitely recomend it.

Featuring a striking yellow and black contrasting pattern, this dynamic football from Invicta will have your friends asking for their own. The central stitch pops in bright white, and decorative black stitching creates a decorative pattern around the center. Complete with Invicta logo and web site, this fun football is reliable enough for all-weather play and sleek enough for the best quarterback. Enjoy the Invicta football in your neighborhood park or play some street games today!

amazon make me crazy

This football is free with the purchase of an Invicta watch.
But few days later amazon sent me an email saying the watch is no longer available and canceled my watch. But they did not cancel the football and charged me 35$!!! by the time I got the cancellation email, I could not cancel the foot ball because it's too late.
Have to return it.

Nice promo. I gave it a 5 star rating because it was free with watch purchase. The Invicta watches are great!

The football is fine but it came as a free gift with a watch purchase. Still havent recieved the watch!

I'd never purchase this...

...Like most others that have given reviews on this football, I received it as a part of promotional package. Given the price this item currently commands, I was cautiously optimistic that this may be a decent, all-weather/leather football. Boy, was I wrong. The material can be best described as the synthetic leathery compound that's usually found on $1 baseballs; Slippery, vinyl feel of the football is simply overpowering. The grip portion also leaves plenty of room for improvement. The ends of the grip material are simply snuck under the workings of the grip --- Which is very loose, making it only a matter of time before the end(s) eventually come apart. Perhaps it'll be tougher than it looks. But my guess is, it'll be rendered useless soon after its introduction to outdoor elements. Nevertheless, to reiterate the title of this review, I'd never purchase this unless it were sold at a significant bargain... Like, free, as in this case.

This Invicta stainless steel men's chronograph watch wonderfully blends classic timepiece design with a contemporary edge. The textured off-white dial face features angular minute indexes in black mixed with Arabic numerals, as well as two black-outlined chronograph subdials in the center of the dial. The large, round silver stainless steel watch case measures 52mm (2.05 inches) wide with the oversized, grooved crown. It also has Tritnite luminous black-outlined hands (with seconds hand) and a unique date window at three o'clock that displays a range of three dates. Other features include a supple black leather strap with white contrast stitching, scratch-resistant mineral crystal with anti-reflective coating and water resistance to 200 meters (660 feet)--suitable for scuba diving.

Tritnite is a luminous material with an extended glow exclusively developed by Invicta in Switzerland and added to their timepiece hands and markers. When exposed to regular daylight, it will hold its glow for about 20 hours.

About Invicta
Latin for "invincible," Invicta was founded in La Chaux-de-fonds, Switzerland in 1837 by Raphael Picard, who believed that fine Swiss timepieces could be offered at modest prices. For more than a century, the company has created distinctive manual and automatic-winding pieces. In 1991, descendants of the Picard family reaffirmed the company's founding principle, and the invigorated Invicta has been growing ever since with one of the most widely diverse collections of precise Swiss timepieces on the market.

Big Watch thats Big on Style!

I just received this watch and it is my first from Invicta. My first impression (besides the size, which I Love) was that this is a very elegant and stylish watch. It looks like a relative to an IWC watch and holds the same weight and thickness as a Breitling. I own both IWC and Breitling and based on all the comments I received about my Invicta, those other 2 will be on their watchwinders for quite awhile! You should see the expressions on the faces of all those pompous people at the Country Club when I tell them its a 99 dollar Invicta! In my book absolutely priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Review From Some One Who Has One & Buys Invicta

Got this watch on sale ,would have paid full price , this is like my 4th Invicta watch & this has a huge face ,but is the lightest one to date ,& the band & face gives it a very clean look, a very good add to any watch collection

Rating :

Ludicrously huge

I didn't pay very close attention when I bought this. I thought the style was cool, and that the watch would be a normally sized one (I wasn't paying attention to the specs). To say that I was surprised that it was so huge is an understatement. The heft of it on my wrist is huge - more of a "wristclock" than a "wristwatch". I was so surprised by the hugeness of it that I kept asking my daughter (who is 16) whether I should return it.

After a while, though, and some wearing, I realized that this ludicrously huge watch is also ludicrously nice. It's obviously well-built and definitely has a style that stands out. I certainly will NOT be returning this one!

My advice: If you don't want to attract attention with your watch, for God's sake don't buy this watch. However, if you want something distinctive that looks like it will last forever, this is the watch for you!

Awesome...it works.

Not the sleekest watch, but I love having it. I've had it for 6 months, and I'm sure it will last for years. It's just impervious to everything.

Rating :

Durable and Great Size for Any Arm

This watch is indeed durable and has performed greatly while kayaking, hiking, and playing sports. My favorite characteristic of this watch is its size. I have skinny arms and therefore find most watches way too large and/or heavy. They often look awkward or cannot be tightened to the right fit. This watch is great because it is not very large but plenty big not to look like a lady's watch. The wrist band tightens well to prevent sliding around. The only negative aspect I have noticed is that I easily feel hot and sweat under the watch; however most non-metal watches are this way from my experience.

LASTED 20 YEARS!

Sadly, my 20-year-old Casio G Shock watch has finally died. I bought it for diving in 1988, and I've used it so many times over the years. Since I'm a woman, I was teased for wearing such an "undainty" watch, but when you use it for sports/outdoors, who's looking to be dainty? I highly recommend this watch, and I'm surprised that something good is still being offered! If you're looking for a quality, economical, tough watch, do not hesitate to buy this one!

Timeless style, flawlessly functional, and tough

This watch is killer.
It's easy to read. It has all the essentials clearly displayed. It has everything I want and nothing I don't.

I can wear it fishing or climbing or with a suit.
I wouldn't change a thing about it.

If you need a do anything, go anywhere wrist watch you shouldn't think twice about picking up one.
It's also quite accurate.

Best of The Best :)

Hello!

I've bought this product, because I lost my previous CASIO watch.
to be honest I knew everything there was to know about this G-Shock, so I knew exactly what I was buying ;-)
Tough, cheap and has all features I need! (maybe except dual-time, but I did not use that very often).

If you are looking for simple watch for diving or water sports that would damage normal watches - this one is for YOU! :)

TWO (2) Extra Pins Included. Manufactured to strict quality standards this link remover is the best heavy duty twist movement tool to remove stubborn watch links. Most link removers use a small handle, but this larger model makes it easier to remove links. Link remover will push the pin out, and you will need a small needle nose plier to fully pull the pin out. Simply align the pin with the tool and carefully twist tool knob to push the pin out. Watch Band Link Remover for Bracelet Adjustments Watch Watch Band Link Remover for Bracelet Adjustments. Twist design makes it easy to remove or add links to your watch band. Every watch collector needs a watch adjuster as part of their collection. Stop wasting money taking it to a jewler when you can do it yourself. It pays for itself after 2 uses and lasts for many years. Easily alter your watch at home without scratching the band. Fits most bands using a pin system to hold links together. Comes with two extra pins for replacing bent pins. Many watch bands use directional link pins, therefore you must push in the direction of the pin. Improper use of the tool will damage the pin and your tool. Please be careful when pushing the pin. It should easily slide out with some force. If you are pushing very hard and no movement, try using some lubricant like WD40 to help the pin slide out.

Customer Review :

Nice to have around, will pay for itself in the long run

Before I offer more detailed analysis, essentially this worked as advertised, and I've sized two watches perfectly with this. It's nice to have, and it's already paid for itself (the Watch Hospital in Boston does excellent work, but the cost per watch makes this product quite desirable).

Now to the less appealing points: the plastic structure does suggest cheap quality and workmanship. The height-adjusting knob didn't adjust the height at all - so that element was essentially useless. To adjust the height, I used thin shims to align the watch band with the removing-pin. This may be another element that could cause a pin break: poor alignment of the watch band height to the angle of the removing pin.

It doesn't take any great pressure to remove the pins from the watch band; a little finesse is in order here. You don't need a blacksmith's touch.

Ultimately, this is a decent little unit that should work fine for you - just be prepared to exercise a little patience and a light touch, and you'll be happy with the results.

Bad choice.

If you are not a profesional do not buy this item... Not instructions avaliable... may not work with the watch you bought.... I bought one of this items and was useless..

A GREAT TOOL!

I was hesitant to attempt to remove the links in all five of my watches - because of the negative reviews. But, it didn't take long to catch on. The arrows and lining up the pins really are the keys to the whole procedure. (If a retired 70-year-old woman can figure this out, anyone can.) Watches are always too big for my wrist. With this tool the problem is solved. And, it paid for itself after the first watch band was shortened.

Questions & Answers
Question : Where is the best place to get cross country shoes?
I usually just use regular running shoes for cross country but as my last year in high school I would like to try using real cross country shoes. I don't want ones with spikes though. Our cross country team doesn't use those. Any answers are appreciated! Thanks! :D

Answer:
It depends on how serious you are about running, and how often you run. When you are buying your first serious pair, I always recommend going to a good running store so they can take a look at your feet. They can tell what kind of arches you have, whether you pronate when you run, and where you land on your foot. All of these factors affect what kind of shoe you should get. If you get the wrong one, it can lead to unnecessary pain and discomfort. You can't just go somewhere and say "I want Asics". Asics makes a whole line of shoes for all different types of feet. It's like going to a bookstore and saying that you want a book. Once you find a model that works for you, then you can go to an outlet store. But if you are serious about continuing to run, take the time to go to a store that specializes in running. You will be happy you did! PS, here's a good link to a Runners' World site that will help you to see what kind of shoe will best fit your foot. They also have a lot of reviews from other users, so you can see what might work best for you; http://www.runnersworld.com/topic/0,7122,s6-240-319-0-0,00.html

Question : Do I need sprinting shoes for cross country?
I know cross country is a long distance, and not really sprinting sorta sport but i was wondering if i should get light weight sprinting shoes for races... So do I need sprinting shoes for cross country? help! thanx! :)

Answer:
You should get just running shoes to train in, but for races and such, I would say you should buy flats ( flats are light-weight and helps you move faster in races). You can buy flats at Snail's Pace. It shouldn't be too expensive.

Question : what are the best shoes for cross country racing?
I am new to cross country so I need a little guidance in what type of shoes to get....

Answer:
it depends on how you run where i live (Houston, TX) there are two shoe stores "finish strong" and "Luke's locker" they will see how you walk and give you shoes good for you

Question : Whats a good kind of cross country shoes for a meet? Like do I want Spikes,or Flat bottom rubber??
Cross Country course are all different, they are hilly, rough, and soft. It is 3.1 miles and I need a good race shoes, I am a junior in high school.

Answer:
for cross country you're going to want spikes with a rubber spike plate and removable spikes this way, if the course has a lot of cement on it, you can take the spikes out and just race without them in the shoe go to a running shoe store, though, as opposed to a huge sporting goods store, because they'll make sure you're fitted correctly and will recommend a good pair for you

Question : Would this pair of Cross Country shoes be okay for track?
its a pair of Brooks Men's Mach 9. The time I primarily care about is what I get for the 1600. So would they be fine if i just use shorter spikes?

Answer:
yeah u can use cc spikes in track for distance events like the 1600 and 3200

Question : Can normal running shoes be used for cross country running?
I have a pair of women's nike running shoes and am going to join my school's cross country team in the fall. But I'm not sure if I have to get a pare of spikes for cross country of if I can just use my nike running shoes. Help please?

Answer:
If your Nike's are really light weight then they should be good...i would recommend against spikes...even though they are lightweight and flexable, crosscounty courses are sometimes set on concrete. annnd spikes on concrete is a no no.

Question : where can i buy good cross country running shoes at a desent price?
I need running shoes and running shorts, shirts, sweet pants,ect... for high school cross country please help

Answer:
If you have Big 5 store in your area, they have great prices on running shoes, running outfits. Great deals on New Balances, Reeboks..ect. Thats where i would purchace my stuff for track. Nextag.com and eastbay.com have great variety on spike long distance shoes and clothing

Question : what props can I use to represent cross country besides shoes?
I'm giving a presentation on something I know a lot about in class. I've chosen to do mine on cross country. Because I know what techniques you need, and what foods to eat and etc... But we have to have two props. All I can think of to use is my shoes, what else can I possibly use?

Answer:
You could mabey bring in like a sweatband or find out about a famous cross country runner and write his name really big on a piece of paper or something like tht

Question : What are some good stores for cross country shoes?
With removable spikes/no spikes. I really just want them to be light!

Answer:
Fleet Feet is seriously the best place. all runners that i know go there. they help you find the right shoe for you. its great. my spikes are sooo LIGHT! i love them the website is http://www.fleetfeet.com/ and they have locations like everywhere. you can also order them online

Question : What type of cross country shoes should I purchase?
The best answer would provide me with two pairs of shoes, 1 pair for racing and 1 pair for training. Spikes or flats? If so, what brand/specific model should I get?

Answer:
spikes usually are alot better for cross than flats so i would get a pair of those for racing, im not going to name a specific type of shoe that you should get because the best shoe is really different for each person like for example if you over pronate you should get a different shoe than your friend that under pronates. for trainers again i wont name a brand our model, for pretty much same reasons. my best advice too you is too go to a running specialty type of store (not a footlocker or champs) because running stores usually have people working there that are runners and can know what type of shoes would be best for you
