Great Replacement Battery
Bought the battery to replace a dead one in my watch, works great. The only problem I have is that my watch no longer makes sounds (chime/alarm). I place the fault for that on myself.

Great value
It's a battery. It does what it's supposed to. Great value for buying from Amazon since there's no tax and it's cheaper than the ones sold in Target or Walmart.

Best Price and Excellent Quality
I went to many stores, from Sharper Image to Best Buy to Circuit City to Radio Shack and a few online spots to find the CR2025 batteries for my clock radio remote and air conditioner remote. The stores either did not carry the exact battery type or wanted over $6 per battery. When I checked Amazon, the Energizer battery ECR2025 was available for less than $4 for two. I was concerned if ECR2025 was the same as CR2025; I took a chance, and they turned out to be the same, so the E probably just stands for Energizer. The batteries have been working fine because the remotes work fine. This was the best deal for this battery. Delivery was free because I bought the batteries along with something else from Amazon. Amazon seems to carry many things with excellent prices, and the free delivery is great.

Works as a clock battery
I purchased this to run a digital clock that I keep in my bathroom. The battery is working perfectly so far!

TOO Big! :0(
I bought these batteries not too long ago, and I was very disappointed when they arrived. These batteries are HUGE! In fact, I have not yet found 'anything' they do fit. I took them to my uncle who is 81 years old, thinking he might have an old watch or calculator to use them in, but they were too big for his things also. Make sure you are getting the correct size battery BEFORE you purchase these.

Straight up.
It is a blast! In my opinion it is well worth the money. The Cons- I've found these hardly ever come with an instruction manual...and not readily available. Those that I found on the net are in other languages. Also one thing that would make this the ultimate device is a back light. -Lack of one makes it useless in the dark. Distance is limited to about 15 feet (5 meters) and less. Its buttons are small, so if you have big fingers you may find operation hard. The Pros: Its size is relatively small, for what it can deliver. As stated; has a learning function...which is awesome, most any remote- with a function can be learned by this watch...though you are limited to the presets. Great fun! Highly recommended!

Fun watch
I had one of this watch myself a few years ago, one day we had history at the school and we were watching a film, about WWRII. I turned off the TV, each time, the teacher turned on. She was so surprised, what's wrong with the TV, and she was thinking probably it's because of the weather is too warm. But it was not the case, only a few of my classmates knew that it was me that was turning off the TV. hehehe....but eventually more students found out that it was me, and then the teacher. The teacher didn't become angry or something, because she was a nice teacher. I used that watch for a total of four years, and worked very well. until one day it ran out of battery, and tried to replace a new battery but I couldn't do. and didn't work anymore... you can buy, and its fun.

| Editorial Review :
Designed for active, outdoor lifestyles, the full-sized Timex T47512 Expedition digital watch also includes a highly accurate digital compass to help keep you on course when hiking the trails or urban spelunking. Compass features include bearings based on 16 cardinal points measured in degrees and a function that enables you to set declination angle based on geography. It has a large, round resin case in khaki and a dark gray bezel marked with compass headings and an interior dial of degree markings. It also features a 100-hour chronograph, alarm, English or metric units, water resistance to 100 meters (330 feet), 4.5-year battery life, and a nylon Fast Wrap strap with Velcro fastener. The Indiglo night-light uniformly lights the surface of the watch dial using patented blue electroluminescent lighting technology. It uses less battery power than most other watch illumination systems, enabling your watch battery to last longer. The Night Mode feature allows you to illuminate the Indiglo night-light for 3 seconds with any button press, regardless of the mode or function.

Timepiece = Timex
Replacing a watch that was damaged. This watch has become a fixture and will satsfy for years to come. Provides all the necessary features, especially the digital compass and indiglo.

Great features for the price, but...
I received this watch as a Christmas gift and loved it immediately. It has a great feature set for the price range and had everything I wanted (compass, countdown timer, alarm, Indiglo, water resistant). Unfortunately, the numbers began to fade with exposure to direct sunlight. The more sun, the more fading. When I would go back indoors the watch would return to normal. After a few weeks, the numbers were completely faded within 30 seconds of sunlight exposure and could barely be read after 30 minutes of being indoors. I sent the watch back to Timex and they sent me a replacement (all at their expense). The watch worked fine for about 3 weeks and then started having the same problems, plus the night light stopped working. I obtained a return box and will be sending this one back for another replacement. With so many good reviews here, I'm hoping for a "third time's the charm" situation.

nice watch
I gave this to my boyfriend as a graduation gift. It looks nice but I would prefer to replace the Velcro wrist band with something a little nicer. We haven't used the compass yet.
Rating :
Nice for the price!
I really wanted a ultra Casio, with the temp, compass, solar and Sofie Monks phone number, but I must must embrace my nature and sometimes just go for the best price and practical use work watch. The compass thing is a bit of a toy, but I'm not dropping two bills on some hubcap I'll never wear.

Great Watch!
This watch is fantastic. It has lots of options for time and date, the alarm is loud enough, and it is well lit. But best of all is the compass (which is the reason I bought it instead of another). Yes, you have to read the manual and set the declination depending on what part of the world you are in. But once that is done, the compass works very well for "urban crawling" as they put it and turned out to be highly accurate for my needs. I only had to reset it once during a recent two week trip, and that was due to being near a strong magnetic field. Definitely a great purchase!

Customer Review :
Fantastic Watch - Great Features, USB connectivity to PC
I love this watch! First, it has lots of features - I have a 200 lap timer, 15 countdown timers, 21 different alarms, and I still have 80% free memory. I could add more of each of these, or other items (Appointments, Occasions, Contacts, Notes, etc).
The Alarms are very flexible. I can configure alarms that only go off on weekdays, weekends, or specific days. This lets me set common alarms and then enable or disable them as needed. This is easier than needing to re-set an alarm's time.
The watch also has a USB connection to your PC. I have configured all the settings (Alarms, etc) I like and can load them on the watch in about 30 seconds. This is handy when you change the battery - rather than having to re-set everything, you just load it from the PC again and you are ready to go.
There are plenty more features that I use less regularly - it is really quite an amazing watch.

no more missed appointments or forgetting to take medication. easy to use and contains all the features you'd need and then some. only drawback is the cheap wristband

Great Watch
I am buying this watch to replace the exact same watch that I have had for years. I have been very pleased with it. I wish Timex would have come out with a new model after all these years, but I guess it is not a priority. There is no comparable product when you look at ease of use, durability and features.

Not for everyone
I've worn a Timex Triathlon/Ironman watch for over 15 years. About six months ago I purchased the data link watch, thinking it would give me the functionality of other watches I have had with the additional benefit of downloading data and holding other info. The biggest problem for me was that, as a lefty, the dial constantly changes the mode - particularly when I am swimming, so it is not reliable for workouts. This frustrates my use of the watch to the point that I'm back on the market and will just have this one as a reserve in case the new one is lost...while I get a replacement. Smaller issues are that the start/stop button is not as easy to use while doing interval training and the face light on mine was not bright enough to see the time at night. I never realized the benefits that I had envisioned because, although typically a person that downloads data, I found it easier to manually record the data. Also, although I synched outlook contacts to the telephone, nearly all the contact data the watch stores is already on my cell phone.
I wasn't compelled to write a review until I saw the five star reviews and thought, if I didn't already have this watch, I might be compelled to buy it based on the reviews but would have wanted to know the things I have put in this review to consider before purchasing it.
I was surprised to see the cost, I recall spending less for mine.

Question : Does it matter if I buy men's or women's Nike running shoes?
I want to get Nike + shoes (the ones you use with the iPod connector/sensor) for Christmas, but it seems that I like a lot of the colors in the men's section rather than women's.
If I'm buying, let's say, Zoom Jasaris, what's the difference between the men's & women's?? Aside from the size/color? Is the shape/fit/comfort exactly the same?
Answer:
You really need to try them on first.
The fit will be very different. A men's D (standard) width is NOT the same as a women's.
And I know you really might want the Nike product for the iPod functionality, but most runners would agree that Nike makes fairly dismal running shoes.
Go to a running shoe store, and let them measure you and watch you run. Base your decision on your feet.

Question : What are the best reasonably priced running shoes?
Would like to purchase a good pair of men's running shoes that are shock resistant but are reasonably priced and of good quality.
Answer:
More and more superstores/grocery stores [Wal*Mart...depending where you live - Meijers] are starting to sell namebrand clothing and shoe brands. You could try that. Or there's always eBay. I know that they have online stores connected to eBay that sell running shoes wholesale - brand new for really cheap. Those are a few options. :) Good luck!

Question : Where can I find Men's Nike Shox Running Shoes?
(Not Online)
Answer:
Most Running stores would carry them
|
Question : Does anyone know where i can find vegan, size 14 (US) shoes, that aren't running shoes or old men styles?
Black would be the best but any dark colour basically.
My favoured style of shoes are skate shoes.
I need dark shoes for school, but any i find in my size are leather, and i have found a shoe (macbeth eliot, but that's a size 13, and i don't know if i should just go through the pain of having a pair of shoes 1 size too small).
Answer:
Why? are you planning to eat them?
They're doing wonderful things with vinyl and pleather these days, this should prevent protein contamination of your feet.

Question : What is the best type of men's adidas running shoes?
Adistars, microbounces, super bounces, supernovas? I would be running on bumpy surfaces, sometimes just plain cement, and in forest. What do you think the best type of adidas running shoes are for men?
Answer:
If I had to run in Adidas' I would run in the Adidas A1's. They're expensive and hard to find but it would be cool to run in a shoe that has a computer chip making like 20'000 calculations/second or whatever it is. Other than that, Adidas is basically turning into a soccer company so it might be hard to find a good running shoe.
|
Question : What are some good running shoes for men?
I need some good running shoes that are durable on any terrain and are comfy.
I'm not going to use them very often, perhaps 3 times a week.
Any ideas for good shoes.
All answers are appreciated
Answer:
The best answer to this totally depends on your running gait. You need to know if you pronate, underpronate/suppinate or are a neutral runner before buying shoes. If you don't know go to a running store and ask them to analyse your tread - the good shops will have a machine to do this and will not charge you. Listen to advice from a shop assistant who runs and is trained in the shoe models (not a weekend fill-in!). Visit somewhere like www.runnersworld.co.uk and read reviews on shoes that meet your needs. Try a few pairs on to see how they fit around your toes and heel before buying any. Taking this well-researched path will reduce any chance of injury to your legs/hips/back by running in the wrong shoes. Best of luck!
